|  Katia Harb has been a household name for the last 10 years, and has successfully evolved her style from the romantic ballads that made her famous to interpretations of rap and hip-hop.
Katia Harb, who started singing in 1993, was picked by Simon Asmar, director of Studio El Fan, a programme that highlights young talent in Lebanon.
"I won a gold medal in singing and only then made a conscious effort to become a professional singer. Since then I have won many awards but perhaps the best has been the 'Golden Murex' award for my video clip Ma Fina (Can't do what you want me to do)."
She loves horse riding, dancing and poetry. "I'm really inspired by the poet Nizar Kabbani."
She also performs for charity now and then. "The last concert I did was for the disabled because we can't be neglectful of those who are in need."
Katia Harb first complete album was "El Bab El Aali", followed by "Bayaani2, the third one was "Mandallah" and the newest and last one is "Katia", produced by Katia herself.
She sang an English song Pass the Flame United World with Yannis and Tarkan for the upcoming Olympic Games.
